The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide joined local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.

Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout

Los Angeles area events featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.

Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy high.

“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.

The procession path concluded at the stadium, where the team emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist driving a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

Festivities began prior to the parade, with Dodgers fans setting off flares in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the MVP of the championship, commented directly about the victory.

“Losing is not an option,” he said. “I adore this team. I love Los Angeles.”

Varied Responses and Community Spirit

In contrast, the team owner received a cooler reception at the celebration. Video footage from the event seem to depict him taking the stage to a combination of cheers and jeers, with jeers interrupting his address.

The championship served as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An estimated quarter-million people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more support.

“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
